A cyberattack this summer on JPMorgan Chase compromised the accounts of 76 million households and 7 million small businesses, a tally that dwarfs previous estimates by the bank and puts the intrusion among the largest ever.
JPMorgan Chase said that names, addresses, phone
numbers and email addresses were stolen from the company’s servers,
but only customers who use the websites Chase.com and JPMorganOnline
and the apps ChaseMobile and JPMorgan Mobile were affected.
