Ms Moran has had every opportunity to leave office gracefully, but has failed and refused to do so. Maggie Rivera, not Margaret Moran, won election to the office of LULAC National President at the National Convention . Moran was not even eligible to run for re-election, much less continue to serve as National President. She is termed out from continuing to serve as National President under the Constitution and Bylaws of LULAC. This type of scene harms our national mission. When this debacle is over, as it should be soon. we need to take steps to ensure that maverick elements never again are allowed to take over and manipulate our organization in a dictatorial manner.
