Native Organizers Alliance - A week of traditional ecological knowledge in the homelands

Native Organizers Alliance Logo

Patricia,

Yesterday, I told you about our work with the Brave Heart Society 4-Day Field School on Yankton land and water because it’s important you see what your support for our work means in the real world. We're on the ground right now!

On the land and in the classroom, our communities come together to share, learn, and empower each other based on our traditional knowledge.

These pictures tell a thousand words, but they aren’t able to convey the impact of coming home reengaged with traditional ecological knowledge, as well as a renewed understanding of our role as a protector of the land, water, and the natural world -- and Native Organizers Alliance’s role as a national organizing and training network.

The federal government’s policies compel us to fund these activities and support Native self-determination. We’re also building power to ensure the federal government upholds our sovereignty and Nation-to-Nation status, including by providing the resources so our people can weave together science and culture in caretaking lands and waters.

We’re grateful for your support. And I ask you to support us again today, so we have the resources we need to empower us all in our responsibilities to Mother Earth and every living thing on it. Please donate what you can:
