Robert 'Bob' Flores - Minutes for LULAC 11085 ZOOM Meeting 4/28/2026

The ZOOM Meeting today did not include enough information for ZOOM AI to give us our recap.

Hopefully, the next session will give us a recap again. If you have any questions or issues about today's meeting, please let me know.
I was able to glean a little of what was discussed. In attendance was Donna and Willy today.

Roberto Flores: Please continue learning and acting for the benefit of the League of United Latin American Citizens of Kansas.

In general, why is your input appreciated, even though attendance is not a big deal, with AI minutes we are able to communicate fairly well.

And, we'll continue to do that. Again, our meetings are every week at 11 a.m. and I ask for those of you that can to jump in as you are able.

I noticed that DanNell from LNESC tried to join us for a little bit this morning but got derailed. I am very, very glad for her to have made the attempt to join us.

DanNell let us know what you may be interested and/or concerned about that this Council can do for their organization, and we, of course, appreciate your participation.

I think other than that, we've pretty well covered all the bases. Again.

One of the main objectives is we're trying to create a council for LULAC here in Wichita. This council would be the fourth council in the state. Of course, we need leaders. People that are willing to step up and volunteer to do something to help our mission. In most cases, time is the enemy for folks but necessary to help our very important activism.

In reference to a new council the position of President being the most essential in leading the Council. It takes a great leader to gather together folks, to plan out projects and to manage the logistics of those projects. The finances and the processes of the organization need tremendous support, of course, from the Vice President as well as Secretary and Treasurer.  I encourage each of you to ponder taking a role.

I had mentioned, one particular organization called the Voice of the Midland. It is an e-mail I receive daily. It includes some Op-eds from some very important people who have a great view of what is happening in the world and more so how it impacts us. LULAC News is very prominent via this channel.

Our meeting, ID and passwords have been published by Voice of the Midland, so I'm very, very grateful to them for doing that for us and publicizing our meeting time as they reach a huge audience. More importantly, I know, we can rely on their continued support.  And again we're grateful for that.

Don't know much else that needs to be said in this session. Again my apologies as for some reason, ZOOM AI decided that it was not going to be our minutes taker today.

Please try to make people aware of what we're trying to do as a council for the community and in our projects. I'll sign off with that.

Thank you so much, have a great day.

Robert 'Bob' Flores Treasurer and scribe for today.
