Imagine how our country could transform if this money were invested in our neighborhoods, healthcare, housing, schools, and parks, rather than used to separate families.
We asked our members what they would build with those resources, and the visions for our future were powerful:

“Subsidized childcare, free higher ed, regulations to limit capitalist greed, money for childcare workers and domestic laborers and farm workers!”
"I want those resources invested into parks, public libraries, and affordable housing."
And for many, the answer was simple: "Literally anything else."
While the government continues to fund hate, fear, and separation, we’re choosing love and connection.
As of right now, 128 people have already committed to organizing events as part of our Powered by Love Letter Writing campaign. These organizers are gathering friends and family to write letters to our immigrant neighbors in detention, reminding them that they’re seen, heard, and never alone.
