United We Dream ● We will not stay silent

For years, the DACA program has been systematically weakened and put at risk. Over the next month, we’re taking a deep dive into how the current administration is trying to dismantle the DACA program as we know it.

Here are some things you need to know about how the federal government is undermining DACA and how it is harming immigrant youth.

  • The administration is trying to weaken or end the benefits DACA recipients have been able to win for themselves, such as cutting off access to the Affordable Care Act, challenging and blocking access to higher education, and even blocking access to commercial driver's licenses.
  • Most alarmingly, the administration is trying to undermine DACA by urging DACA recipients to self-deport and actively ignoring the protections from detention and deportation that DACA guarantees. Over the next month, we’ll share detailed information about all of these measures that are harming our community.

We cannot let this happen.

These are not isolated incidents; they serve as warnings of the escalating and threatening landscape we face and the risks to temporary programs like DACA. We’ll continue working to protect not only DACA recipients, but all immigrant youth who have not been able to take advantage of the policy.

This moment demands that we come together to protect everyone in our communities, Bernardo. Will you stand with us by rushing a contribution today?

Thank you for stepping up and joining us at such a crucial time. We’re here, we’re organizing, and we’re facing this moment together.
