I
am dishearten to hear that you refuse to acknowledge that the General
Assembly of LULAC voted for a new slate of Officers at the New York Convention
and that you refuse to concede and give up your positions.
While, I understand the difficulty of admitting defeat, the fact remains clear, the Credentials Committee certified 1,625 delegates. A count of delegates present to vote for Mrs. Maggie Rivera was 825 delegates, more than enough to constitute a quorum. It is time to accept the will and the supreme authority of the General Assembly and concede and give up your positions to the new slate of Officers.
If you do not, it will likely drive more people like me - members of LULAC who have strived to continue to do the day-to-day grassroot work of LULAC throughout our Country - that final inch out the door.
Please do the right thing, concede and move on.
