LULAC - Petition to Get Moran, Rosales, Rendon and Luna to do the Right Thing

The Editor:  Why is LULAC silent?  Why are they not asking for the four (4) national officers who have been termed out in LULAC to resign?  This is a question being asked by veteran LULAC'ers.

You could start a petition drive by copying the information below and asking others to join you.  If you are afraid to do a petition drive because you fear retaliation from the Machine, then light a candle, say a prayer and sign and circulate the petition.

The LULAC Constitution is either real or it is not real.  Margaret Moran, Rosa Rosales, Manuel Rendon and Mickie Luna are in "gross violation" of the termed out provisions of the LULAC Constitution.  Status quo does not mean that you disobey the LULAC Constitution.  The old Executive Committee continues.  The termed out do no continue.  The members of the Committee who are not termed out continue and fill in the vacancies created by the departure of the termed out members.

To:

Margaret Moran, National President
Rosa Rosales, Immediate Past National President
Manuel Rendon, National Vice President for Young Adult
Mickie Solorio Luna, National Vice President for the Farwest

"For the good and welfare of the League, we, the undersigned, ask you to respect the termed out provisions of the LULAC Constitution and leave your termed out position to be filled by the remaining members on the National Executive Committee who have not been termed out."

Constitutional Provision:  VIII. National Officers. Section 6. Tenure of Elected Office. Subsection c. A National Officer may serve in the same office for four terms, consecutively or intermittently, if duly elected to such office, but in no case may an officer be elected to the same office for more than four one-year terms. Any move to draft or otherwise impose on the League a person who has exhausted his eligibility to hold the same office for more than the stipulated terms shall be deemed a gross violation of this Constitution.
