Ernesto Aguilar is a public media leader and journalist currently overseeing radio broadcast content and innovation initiatives at KQED, where he also leads the organization’s AI Working Group. His career spans newspapers, public radio, and nonprofit media leadership, including serving as executive director of the National Federation of Community Broadcasters. Aguilar is a fellow of the Maynard Institute and Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program and writes newsletters focused on public media, Latino audiences, and AI’s impact on journalism.
