United We Dream - We got each other

Wage theft and labor exploitation often affect young immigrants.

Those that work in low-wage industries like garment manufacturing, agriculture, food services, and domestic work are more exposed to these issues. Undocumented workers face subminimum wages, unpaid overtime, and employer intimidation, including threats of deportation.

DACA recipients have seen the benefits they have fought hard for and won, such as access to higher education, jobs, and health care, being systematically weakened and put at risk.

At the same time, agencies that safeguard workers’ rights are losing funding, making their work to fight for worker protections, rights, wages, and safety more difficult. Workers who speak up or try to report workplace abuses are threatened with retaliation and punished. All to boost the billionaire class.

Whether you’re an immigrant or a citizen, if you’re a working person in this country, it is up to us to fight with and for each other.

The sooner we come together and realize that we, as working people, have always been on the same side, the sooner we can fight back united. They’re betting on us playing it small and staying divided. But we got each other.

The strategy is clear. If they can keep us down, burdened by debt and struggling to make ends meet, we won’t be able to see the bigger picture: that there are millions of us going through the exact same situation — on the same team — all across the country, and they’re watching us suffer over breadcrumbs.

We’ll keep fighting. United We Dream is bringing working people together — especially young people — who are ready to meet this moment with courage to create a better future for each other, where we can all be free to thrive.

Your support powers our work to protect and uplift immigrant communities, resist budget cuts, and build the economy and future we need.
