But she’s heartened to know that a formerly ‘undocumented, poor, queer girl from Texas can be part of a social movement that mobilizes millions of dollars.’”
This honor isn’t Greisa’s alone. It’s a testament to the vision, brilliance, and leadership of immigrant youth who are organizing every day, redefining how this country thinks about who belongs, and demonstrating in practice what it means to show up for each other in times of crisis.
