Texas LULAC Convention in San Antonio, Texas May 31, 2026
Number of Delegates Certified to Vote: 239
The Convention was switched from Houston to San Antonio in violation of the LULAC Constitution. Deelegates always select the convention site. Houston had been selected as the Convention site in 2024. Politics intervened and the Houston site was cancelled and the Convention was changed to San Antonio.
You can see how close the spread of the votes was and you can see why the switch was made.
Houston as a Convention site must be scheduled without competition for 2030.
Otherwise, the elections were conducted in proper order and good decorum.
Miguel Ortiz was the Presiding Judge for the vote at the Convention.
