Patricia,
After the Supreme Court’s ruling dismantling core voting rights and codifying a legal path for suppression of Native votes, Black votes, and other Communities of Color, we cannot give up.
This is a moment for all of us to speak up for everyone's right to have equal access to voting and representation in government, and for the multiracial democracy we all deserve.
When we are unable to vote or have a fair chance at electing people from our communities, especially at a time when sovereignty, our treaty rights, such as the right to healthcare, and human rights are under attack, we must double down on the organizing it takes to win.
We will not allow our political voice to be weakened. Instead, we will work with even more focus to educate, facilitate, and motivate our communities to build Native political power.

Native peoples’ right to vote is intertwined with our right to sovereignty and self-governance over our lands, our communities, and our resources.
Since the beginning of time, our people have organized, led, and protected our communities. We have never depended on a single court decision or an unjust law to define our future. We have a legal, inherent, and moral right to be part of the governance of this land, because at the heart of Tribal sovereignty is the ability to participate in decisions affecting our communities and Mother Earth.
With your support, we will continue to build Native political power and strengthen the movement for democracy. We’ll keep working with Tribal Nations, Native voters, and partners across the country to expand self-governance and access to the ballot, ensure our voices are heard, and build a more deeply democratic society for all -- where all of our communities can participate in the decisions that affect our lives.
We’re able to do this powerful work with your support and the support of all our allies. Please continue to make victory ahead possible by donating what you can now.
Hawwih (thank you in Caddo) for being a part of our circle.
