On March 31st, in celebration of its 90th anniversary, Goya Foods donated 1,000,000 pounds of food to nonprofit organizations involved in serving the community and donating food to families facing food insecurity from coast to coast and in Puerto Rico.
Locally, from its facility in Bolingbrook, IL, Goya donated 100,000 pounds of food to 20 nonprofits for distribution to families in need of food. Group representatives and USHLI volunteers gathered to pack the food and get it ready to load up on trucks for delivery.
Pictured here with USHLI staff and volunteers are Goya leaders, including General Manager Juan Lopez and Division Manager Hector Arguelles - Franco. Also pictured is Goya consultant Cristina Vera.
During this time of rising food prices, Goya's humanitarian response is to donate 1,000,000 pounds of food to families struggling with food insecurity. On behalf of all the nonprofits in the Chicagoland area receiving the 100,000 pounds of food, USHLI says, "Gracias Goya and Happy 90th Anniversary!" |
