Patricia,
We know from our work together that Native communities are politically engaged across Turtle Island. Our sovereign nation status and citizenship requires leaders and organizers to pay attention to federal policy.
Indigenous people carry an ancestral responsibility on policies affecting the health and well-being of humanity and Mother Earth.
However, we need to close the racial justice, sovereign nation communication gap with policymakers and elected officials. As part of that, Indian Country needs data collected with surveys of Native communities by Native communities.
Right now we want to hear from you to better understand your priorities and our communities’, so we can best determine how to move forward and continue growing Native grassroots political power.
If you are Native, please click here to take our short survey today.
SURVEYFrom voting rights to environmental justice to immigrant rights to Tribal sovereignty and beyond, your voice is powerful and we want to know what issues are most important to you and your community.
If you are non-Native, you can help power this work as an ally to Native peoples, including calling on decision-makers to respect Tribal sovereignty and demanding the federal government live up to our long-denied treaty rights -- such as our rights to health care, nutrition, housing, and voting rights.
Donate today to power Native Organizers Alliance as we work with Native and non-Native partners across Turtle Island to defend our land and water from corporate polluters, defend our right to vote against relentless attacks, and ensure our voices are always represented in the halls of power.
DONATEPlease feel free to share this survey with Native friends and relatives.
Thanks to our work together, Native people will continue to have a greater role in creating an inclusive democracy, one in which we will be a part of all decision-making about our lives and Mother Earth.
Hawwih (thank you),
