As a 19-year old, he should already be in the draft pool but you never know. His father, Donald Taco, the authoritarian US president, claimed in 1968 that he had bone spurs and could not serve. Yet, then and now, he can play round after round of golf. At this writing, Barron has not registered or been registered for military service as all other eligible persons must. His public medical records do not mention any bone spurs, as it they could be hereditary.

As of this coming December 18, 2026, the registration of all 18 through 25-year olds will automatically be registered from data in federal government databases (such as Social Security records); includes both US citizens and lawful immigrants. It is a heavy-duty criminal act not to do so with a fine of up to $250,000 or up to 5 years in prison. That is to say, unless Musk’s DOGE purging of records conveniently included Barron and there is no federal record on him. There are 3 states, Delaware, Arizona, and D.C. that automatically register eligible persons for the Selective Service System (SSS) when applying for a driver’s license. In other states it is optional and about 61% of all registrants into the SSS do so by this method. You can get more on this new automatic method if you read the National Defense Authorization Act of the current fiscal year, 2026 and visit the website usmilitary.com for developments and data.

Brief History

The “draft,” as it has been commonly called is military conscription obligating all eligible males to register and serve. It has been compulsory since the days of the American Revolutionary War and continuing into the Civil War, WWI and II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. Some 2.8 million men were called up during the first World War compared to the huge number of 10.1 million in WWII. The Korean conflict only called up 1. 5 million and Vietnam had 1. 9 million inductees. In 1973, conscription ended and the US went for an all-volunteer military. For a time, conscription was also based on a lottery system until Jimmy Carter ended that in 1980.

Forced conscription is still utilized by the federal government for militia service under emergency or extraordinary security conditions and approved by the Congress. In that case, the age for eligibility goes up to age 45 and includes besides US citizens, eligible immigrants, and females who are part of the US National Guard. Donald Taco has utilized that “emergency” and “national security” camouflage to send thousands of National Guard soldier into US cities since 2025 to the current time. Now they are even deployed in US commercial airports. All of this, just like the war he began in Iran, has been done without Congressional approval.

Currently in this fiscal year of 2026, Congress has, and must do so, authorized a military force of 1, 353,000 million persons. Across the six branches are 454,000 in the Army; 344, 600 in the Navy; 321,500 in the Air Force; 172,300 in the Marine Corps; 10,400 in the Space Force; and, 50,000 in the Coast Guard. There are an additional 764,000 in the National Guard and reserves.

Now, you know. But will this authorized US military force include Barron Trump? Donald Taco will probably continue to engage in illegal actions involving the military. The Department of War (actually Depart of Defense, DOD) Secretary, Pete Hegspeth, has fired or pushed into retirement anywhere from 12 to 32 “Generals”; especially the ones who do not agree with the military policies coming out of the White House. Half a dozen members of Congress have been singled for Department of Justice (read FBI) investigations for voicing public opinions that military personnel do not have to follow orders if they are illegal. The Code of Military Justice does not define “lawful” but the Rules for Court Martials does state that soldiers do not have to follow orders contrary to the US Constitution, US laws, and lawful orders from superiors. To be sure, this last category will be the subject of much debate and litigation.
