It’s been a tough year for our communities. But when we organize, we’ve proven we can win. |
As we close out the year, I wanted to take a moment to send warm wishes, peace and love for the holidays. As I reflect on our community’s strength and all we accomplished together in 2025, even at a time with challenges that sometimes seem insurmountable, I feel proud that Latino Victory has stood up for our democratic values and achieved historic victories for nuestra gente. 2025 proved that when we organize and stand together, we win. But, we need your help to keep that momentum going, so I will ask one last time: will you chip in today to fuel our work heading into 2026? Just look at what you helped make possible this year: - Engaged millions of Latino voters via telephone, direct canvassing, earned and paid media in states like Arizona, New Jersey, Virginia, California and Louisiana; as well as municipalities across other states in support of our candidates and priorities.
- Recruited and organized dozens of Spanish speaking volunteers to make thousands of bilingual phone calls and texts against the racial gerrymandering in Texas, and in support of the resulting redistricting efforts in California.
- Trained over 100 new leaders through our signature Path to Victory program in states like New Jersey, California, Texas, and Pennsylvania, equipping dozens of emerging Latino candidates to run for office - and win.
- Supported 59 candidates nationwide, expanding Latino representation at every level of government.
- Made history with “First Latinas” across the country. In Congress, we helped elect Adelita Grijalva as the first Latina to serve Arizona in the U.S. House of Representatives. We also helped elect Helena Moreno as the first Latina Mayor of New Orleans; Elizabeth Guzmán who became the First Latina in the Virginia House of Delegates back in 2022; Talia Rodriguez as the first and only Latina to serve on the Buffalo Board of Education; and Alejandra Salinas, the first Latina openly LGBTQ+ person in the Houston City Council.
- Advanced critical TPS and immigrant-rights work, including a new cycle of bilingual (Spanish–English) “Know Your Rights” training, contributing to legal efforts and community education that have helped protect vulnerable families facing sudden policy changes and deportation risks.
- Released a climate cost burden report in partnership with EDF Action, spotlighting how Latino communities face outsized energy costs and burdens - and what we need to do to fight back.
- Hosted 24 panels convening inspiring leaders and community voices discussing our issues over Substack and also live in N.Y.C. and at Latino Talks 2025 in Washington, D.C.
- Just this year, our content generated 3,990,000 impressions, reached 85,997 followers, and drove 76,789 interactions across our main social media channels, reflecting sustained growth, engagement, and impact across digital platforms.
