A new fund to elect Latino leaders — and win back the House. |
Dear Bernardo,
In case you missed it, Pulitzer Prize, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning songwriter, actor, producer and director Lin-Manuel Miranda, and his family, just joined Latino Victory to launch the Miranda Family Rising Stars Fund — a bold, permanent initiative to expand Latino representation and build the democratic bench we need to win back the House in 2026 and beyond.
The fund is named in honor of Luis A. Miranda, Jr., who served as Chair of Latino Victory’s Board of Directors from 2017 through 2024 and helped lead the organization through historic growth — supporting over 450 candidates and helping elect more than 245 Latino leaders nationwide. His life’s work has been about opening doors and making sure Latinos are represented at every level of government - and we need your help in order to carry it forward. |
On starting this program, Lin-Manuel shared why this moment matters: “I am proud to join my family in launching the Latino Victory Rising Stars Fund to celebrate my dad’s lifelong commitment to increase the number of Latino elected officials. We need leaders who are ready to run for office, represent us with pride and deliver.”
That’s exactly what this fund is built to do. The Miranda Family Rising Stars Fund is focused on identifying, training, mentoring, and directly supporting Latino candidates in the races that will decide control of Congress and the future of our democracy.
If you’re ready to fight for real representation and help us win back the House, please make a contribution today to the Miranda Family Rising Stars Fund.
Our initial cohort of Rising Stars are already running in some of the most competitive districts in the country: - Randy Villegas (CA-22) – educator and Central Valley community advocate
- Manny Rutinel (CO-08) – state representative fighting for working families
- Bobby Pulido (TX-15) – proud Tejano and lifelong South Texan
- Joanna Mendoza (AZ-06) – U.S. Navy veteran and educator
- Denise Powell (NE-02) – small business owner and health care advocate
These are must-win districts and races that will shape who controls the U.S. House of Representatives— and whether working families have real champions fighting for affordable health care, economic opportunity, and dignity.
The Miranda family has already stepped up to seed this fund and set the vision. Now they’re calling on all of us to help grow it into a seven-figure engine for Latino political power that lasts far beyond one election cycle.
Will you chip in today to the Miranda Family Rising Stars Fund and help elect the leaders who will represent our comunidad and help win back the House in 2026.
Con gratitud,
Katharine Pichardo President & CEO, Latino Victory
PS: This moment demands more than symbolism — it demands real candidates, real investments, and real wins. Your contribution today helps turn this historic launch into victories in the districts that will decide our future. |
