The Editor: This is Issue 10 of Volume 1 of the LULAC News published by the founders of LULAC. The copy was presented by Dr. Emilio Zamora to David Contreras, a recognized archivist of Latino history, nationally, in Texas and in the greater Houston community. There are plans to display this issue in a permanent site at the LULAC headquarters in Washington, D.C. Dr. Emilio Zamora is a recognized historian of the Latino community in the Southwest, working out of the University of Texas in Austin. The Voice of the Mainland thanks Dr. Zamora and Mr. Contreras for the work they are engaged in to creating a living memoriam of history of the American Latino.
