UWD members as they host our Immigrant Day of Resilience IG live! ✨

Hi Bernardo, how did
you celebrate Immigrant Day of Resilience on April 15?
On Immigrant Day of
Resilience, we embrace the care and abundance that enriches our
community’s lives. As we recall the ancestors and elders who planted
the seeds in our fight for liberation, we envision the just,
multi-racial society we’re building together.
We kicked off our
Immigrant Day of Resilience celebration by spreading care, kinship, and
ancestral joy online and straight to your mailbox! We partnered with
young BIPOC artists who illustrated three postcards that honor our
ancestors who fought for racial justice and democracy.
Who are you sharing
this artwork with? ๐ฌ In case you missed it, there’s still time to join us in
celebrating — order your FREE set of postcards today!

Bernardo,
we are our ancestors: we are their resilience, their hope, their joy.
We can fight for the future we want, just like they did.๐งก In Texas, we’ve
confronted white nationalists who have tried to fracture, shame, and
civically disengage our communities. Our resilience has shined through
at every step of the way — from protecting one another to activating
our voices to fight for our community.
Immigrant
youth know what we’re capable of when we organize — that’s why UWD
members from Texas are hosting an Instagram Live to celebrate our
community’s resilience! You’re
invited to join us on Thursday,
April 25, at 7 pm CT/ 8 pm ET to learn how we can
continue building resilience at home and in our communities. Let us
know you’re coming, and receive a reminder when we go LIVE. Just text “RSVP NOW” to 787-57, or click this link if
you’re on your phone today!
See you there,
Ayling and the rest of
the UWD team
