Dallas - Press Conference in Support of Immigration Children

                Community and Religious leaders will be holding a press conference Monday at 12 pm.  On Monday July 28, 2014 at Dallas City Hall, 1500 Marilla St. Dallas, Texas  6th Floor to address support for the immigrant children who are expected in August.

                Speakers include Dallas Councilman Scott Griggs, Reverend Lynn Godsey, President Hispanic Evangelical Alliance,Dallas County Commissioner Dr.Elba Garcia, Ralph Isenberg President of ICEE, Rene Martinez LULAC, Laura Mendoza North Texas Dream Team.  13 Year Old Sylvia Marroquin a Salvadoran child refugee who will share her story of why she decided to take the perilous trek  to the United States.Peter Johnson,SCLC/civil rights leader and Miguel Solis-President of DISD board of trustees, will also speak.

                Former state Representative Domingo Garcia,co-author of the Texas Dream Act ,will speak on volunteers who will welcome and help protect school buses when they arrive from anti-immigrant protesters.Speakers,will address Gov.Perry's decision to send National Guard troops to the border and Senator Ted Cruz's attempt to repeal legal status for Students(DACA).
