LULAC - Herbalife Responds To Concerns Raised By LULAC Leader

The Editor: The position that Herbalife is responding to regarding LULAC is a position taken by the National LULAC Executive Committee.  The LULAC Executive Committee is allowed under the LULAC Constitution to assert policy positions on behalf of LULAC in the interim.  Positions of the Executive Committee are interim positions.  The LULAC Constitution requires that matters that are acted on in an interim basis by the LULAC Executive Committee must be presented to the National LULAC Board at its next meeting or to the LULAC National Assembly.  The LULAC Executive Committee has not brought the Herbalife issue to the full National LULAC Board or to the LULAC National Assembly for fear that the position that the LULAC Executive Committee has taken would not be supported by a larger LULAC body.
