LULAC - Word on the LULAC Street

The Editor:  Word on the LULAC Street is that Roger Rocha's coalition has organized 120 delegates on the island of Puerto Rico with the help of the PNP and has booked, transportation, room and board for the New York City LULAC Convention.  Word also says that the Roger Rocha coalition has organized councils among the Domincan community in New York City in preparation for the New York LULAC Convention.  Word on the LULAC street has it that one of the lobbyist groups working for the William Ackman Pershing Square Capital Management hedge fund group is the Ibarra Strategy Group headed by Martin Chavez and Mickey Ibarra.  Ibarra is a former official with the Clinton administration and has affiliations with LULAC.  Chavez is a former mayor of the City of Albuquerque.  The former politically active Latinos are lobbyists with their firm, Ibarra Starategy Group.  They are the only Latino lobbyist working for William Ackman and have been tasked to lobby Latino advocacy organizations to work with the Ackman group to topple Herbalife.  A Sorros group has sided with Herbalife by buying additional stock bringing its holding at 5% of the HFL stock.  There are 550,000 Herbalife members in 6 states, including:Illinois with 15,400, New Mexico with 7,900, California with 118,300, Texas with 68,500 members, New York with 33,700 members and Nevada with 6,300 members.  The Editor does not know if you know, but McDonald's, a LULAC Corporate Alliance Partner, is having a fight with its workers who protested today over low wages.  People were arrested and went to jail.  The Editor Did not see LULAC complaining.  But William Ackman throws out a bone to LULAC to kill Herbalife and arf goes the toothless LULAC dog.
